Grave e inquietante la denuncia fatta dal presidente Maduro: c’era un piano per assassinarlo domenica 6 dicembre, durante il voto per l’Assemblea Nazionale, del piano criminale sarebbe stato a conoscenza anche il presidente della Colombia. Se la notizia fosse confermata pur nella sua gravità non ci sarebbe molto da sorprendersi, la Colombia è infatti uno Stato vassallo della NATO e una piattaforma da cui partono numerose iniziative volte a destabilizzare la vicina Repubblica Bolivariana del Venezuela.
In una conferenza stampa con i media internazionali, Maduro ha spiegato che “fonti di intelligence colombiane molto affidabili” gli hanno rivelato l’esistenza di questo tentativo di omicidio da eseguire domenica scorsa in occasione della tornata elettorale che ha visto prevalere nettamente il PSUV e le altre forze politiche afferenti al chavismo, come riporta America XXI.
Il leader venezuelano ha aggiunto che il presidente della Colombia, Iván Duque, era a conoscenza della pianificazione di questo attacco, che è fallita dopo aver deciso di cambiare il centro elettorale in cui Maduro si sarebbe recato per votare. Maduro ha votato presso la Scuola Ecologica Simón Rodríguez, situata nel complesso militare di Fuerte Tiuna, a Caracas.

“Domenica ho cambiato il centro elettorale – può farlo qualsiasi cittadino in Venezuela – dopo che abbiamo scoperto questo piano per assassinarmi al momento del voto”, ha rivelato Maduro dinanzi a circa una ventina di giornalisti.
Maduro ha poi aggiunto che “fonti dell’intelligence colombiana” hanno informato le autorità venezuelane “che si stava preparando un attacco” per ucciderlo.
«Dalla Casa de Nariño (sede del governo colombiano), Iván Duque ha partecipato ai piani per assassinarmi il giorno delle elezioni. Tutta la vicenda è adesso in una fase molto avanzata di indagini“.
Per quanto riguarda il risultato elettorale di domenica scorsa, Maduro lo ha descritto come uno “sforzo storico da parte della società e del popolo” che hanno affrontato un’elezione nel bel mezzo della pandemia Covid-19 e la recrudescenza della guerra economica, finanziaria e commerciale degli Stati Uniti verso il Paese, che riguarda anche gli ambiti della politica.
