Includono l’isolamento dagli altri prigionieri in una struttura di massima sicurezza. I critici dicono che sono disumanizzanti e in alcuni casi possono costituire una tortura psicologica.
Assange si trova in varie forme di isolamento dal giugno 2012, quando si è rifugiato presso l’ambasciata ecuadoriana a Londra.
