La crisi climatica non sta risparmiano la Siberia, anzi. L’ultimo monitoraggio dei satelliti Copernicus dell’Esa ha scoperto che in alcune aree la temperatura della superficie terrestre ha raggiunto il record, pari a 47°.
La Terra si scalda sempre di più a causa de cambiamenti climatici e lo fa soprattutto ai Poli. Anche lo scorso anno e nel 2019, il Circolo Polare Artico e in particolare la Siberia avevano sperimentato temperature roventi e frequenti incendi, e il 2021 sembra andare nella stessa direzione.
L’immagine che vedete in copertina è stata acquisita dai satelliti Copernicus Sentinel-3A e Sentinel-3B il 20 giugno 2021 e mostra la temperatura della superficie terrestre nella Repubblica Sakha, nella Siberia artica.

Crisi climatica: Copernicus, la primavera 2021 è stata la più fredda in Europa dal 2013
Questa zona sta facendo i conti con un’ondata di calore persistente. Come mostra l’immagine, la temperatura della superficie terrestre ha ampiamente superato i 35 °C in molte aree della Siberia, con picchi di 48 °C vicino a Verkhojansk, 43 °C a Govorovo e 37 ° C a Saskylah. Qui, il giorno in cuil’ immagine è stata acquisita, è stata registrata una temperatura di 31,9 °C, il valore più alto dal 1936.
La missione Copernicus Sentinel-3 è composta da due satelliti, Sentinel-3A e Sentinel-3B, in grado di misurare i parametri termici sia degli ambienti terrestri che marini. Questa specificità consente di ricavare parametri come le temperature della superficie terrestre per periodi di tempo e confrontarli di anno in anno,
spiegano gli scienziati. Purtroppo i dati non lasciano ben sperare. Si prevede un’estate torrida, anche al Polo Nord.
