Anche nella perizia degli esperti del gip sulle cause del crollo, nell’ambito del secondo incidente probatorio, era stato sottolineato come “non era stato dato seguito alle raccomandazioni del Cesi per l’installazione di un sistema di monitoraggio dinamico permanente con l’individuazione di specifici livelli di soglia”. Quei sensori, secondo la ricostruzione dei finanzieri del primo gruppo coordinati dal colonnello Ivan Bixio, un anno prima della rottura avevano fornito i dati con cui era stato stilato nel 2014 il documento in cui venne scritto che il ponte Morandi era a “rischio crollo”, unico viadotto in tutta Italia a riportare quella dicitura. Per gli inquirenti, quel documento dimostrerebbe che la società era a conoscenza dei rischi e che non fece nulla. Una circostanza che potrebbe portare alla contestazione del dolo eventuale e non più a una contestazione colposa.
