Come riporta l’Huffingtonpost , il ministro degli esteri olandese Stef Blok, politico di lungo corso ed esponente di spicco del VVD (Partito popolare per la libertà e la democrazia), ha duramente “ammonito” il governo italiano nel corso di un recente incontro istituzionale con i ministri Luigi Di Maio ed Enzo Amendola.
Incontrando la stampa a margine dell’iniziativa, Blok ha parlato non a nome del governo dei Paesi Bassi, ma a nome dell’Unione Europea; in tale veste, ha caldamente invitato il governo italiano a “fare le riforme” che l’UE ritiene “necessarie”, ricordando che la Commissione Europea potrebbe bloccare l’erogazione dei fondi attraverso il cosiddetto “freno d’emergenza”, strumento in base al quale, in mancanza di riscontri “riformisti”, i rubinetti europei potrebbero chiudersi.

“Finora l’erogazione dei fondi europei non era vincolata alle riforme. Il recovery fund introduce questa nuova condizionalità: abbiamo imparato la lezione”, ha dichiarato Blok ai giornalisti, prima di fare a sua volta la lezione al nostro paese, suggerendo due campi nei quali bisognerà fare ciò che chiede l’Europa: la giustizia e l’istruzione; in quest’ultimo ambito, il ministro olandese ha sentenziato che il sistema scolastico italiano non dà agli studenti quell’insieme di conoscenze richieste oggi dal mercato del lavoro.
Pur essendo alle prese con problemi interni (il Parlamento olandese deve ancora approvare il recovery fund) e con difficili elezioni generali alle porte (con un prevedibile boom dei “populisti” del PVV), l’esponente del governo dell’Aja è venuto a Roma con lo zelo di un ispettore a controllare che nel nostro paese tutto proceda per il verso giusto; gli scodinzolanti membri del governo Conte son stati ripagati con una succosa caramella: Blok ha promosso il nostro paese per quanto riguarda gli investimenti “green”.
