Secondo i media statali la Corea del Nord ha pubblicato un documento che delinea la sua dottrina riguardo alla guerra nucleare, avvertendo che non esiterà a usare le bombe atomiche qualora percepisse minacce a “importanti obiettivi strategici”. Le informazioni sulla “politica delle forze nucleari” della Repubblica Democratica Popolare di Corea (RDPC) è stata diffusa venerdì dalla Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) gestita dallo stato;
nonostante il governo consideri le armi nucleari “l’ultima risorsa”, utilizzerebbe le bombe atomiche solo per prevenire aggressioni che minacciano seriamente la sicurezza dello stato e dei suoi cittadini
Nel proseguo del servizio la KCNA ha confermato che Pyongyang non minaccia né usa armi nucleari contro paesi non nucleari; avvertendo che avrebbe risposto con forza all’aggressione o alle nazioni che minacciano la RDPC collaborando con altri stati dotati di armi nucleari, il riferimento alla Corea del Sud e agli Stati Uniti ci sembra chiaro.
Nel documento riportato dalla televione statale sono descritti i principali scenari in cui i militari potrebbero lanciare un attacco nucleare, che sono: quando il paese è minacciato con armi di distruzione di massa, quando leader o “obiettivi strategici importanti” vengono attaccati, nel caso di “un’inevitabile necessità operativa” per prevenire un espansione e un prolungamento eccessivo di un eventuale conflitto che potrebbe mettere a rischio l’esistenza del paese o in risposta a qualsiasi altra “crisi catastrofica” che metta in pericolo la nazione o il suo popolo.
