Il presidente del Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ha spiegato che Brasile, Russia, India, Cina e Sud Africa, paesi con economie in via di sviluppo noti come Brics, stanno creando un nuovo sistema finanziario.
«I Brics (…) stanno portando avanti importanti iniziative per la configurazione di un nuovo sistema finanziario, monetario, che apra le porte a tutti i paesi del mondo. Un sistema che non utilizzi il sistema bancario internazionale come strumento politico e mezzo di attacco e ricatto», ha detto il presidente durante una trasmissione sull’emittente pubblica Venezuelana de Televisión.
Maduro ha sottolineato che questi cinque paesi stanno sviluppando un’architettura per la cooperazione finanziaria e politica.
«I Brics sono i cinque paesi emergenti che hanno iniziato a costruire un’architettura di cooperazione finanziaria e politica, che mirano ad essere i principali protagonisti del mondo che sta nascendo», ha affermato. Il presidente venezuelano ha denunciato che il sistema che collega le banche internazionali, lo Swift, è usato per ricattare i governi, come hanno dimostrato le azioni dei paesi occidentali contro la Russia. Swift (acronimo inglese di Society for World Interbank Financial Telecommunication) è una piattaforma che collega circa 11.000 istituzioni finanziarie in più di 200 paesi e funge da base del sistema finanziario internazionale.
Dopo l’operazione militare speciale della Russia per smilitarizzare e denazificare il regime di Kiev, diversi paesi occidentali hanno stabilito sanzioni contro Mosca, che vanno dalla parziale disconnessione della Russia dal sistema Swift alla chiusura dello spazio aereo per le compagnie aeree russe e al blocco delle riserve internazionali della Banca centrale russa.
La maggior parte della comunità internazionale, però, non ha seguito l’Occidente sulla strada delle sanzioni e continuerà a sviluppare rapporti con la Russia in tutte le sfere. Il Venezuela, ad esempio, continua a percorrere la strada del rafforzamento dei rapporti economici e commerciali con la Russia. Le autorità di Mosca e Caracas lavorano per collegare il paese sudamericano al sistema di pagamento russo Mir, istituito dalla Banca Centrale della Russia nel 2017. Questo faciliterebbe molto gli scambi commerciali e favorirebbe molto il turismo. Un comparto in forte crescita, sono infatti tanti i russi che decidono di visitare le bellezze naturali del Venezuela.
Insomma, oltre il morente occidente c’è un mondo pieno di vita. I tempi stanno cambiando velocemente. L’ordine unipolare dominato dagli Stati Uniti d’America e il regno del dollaro sono ormai agli sgoccioli. Prima ne prenderanno atto anche i nostri governanti e meglio sarà per tutti gli italiani.
