Trenitalia dovrà pagare un multa da un milione di euro. Il motivo? Una serie di disagi causati ai pendolari nel periodo tra gennaio e febbraio 2021. In realtà l’AGCM (Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato) aveva previsto una sanzione ancora più salata, che è stata poi ridotta in considerazione delle perdite economiche registrate dalla società nel corso del 2020.
Secondo quanto emerso dagli accertamenti, lo scorso inverno si sono verificate alcune criticità alla stazione di Roma Termini per gli spostamenti dei pendolari che usufruiscono dell’abbonamento ai treni ad alta velocità. Numerosi passeggeri non sono infatti riusciti ad accedere ai treni della linea Roma-Napoli/Caserta, nonostante i posti non fossero occupati e/o riservati per il posizionamento “a scacchiera”. I disagi per i passeggeri pendolari si sono ripetuti tra gennaio e l’inizio di febbraio 2021.

Il comportamento di Trenitalia S.p.A., che non ha gestito e programmato in modo adeguato la propria offerta in una delle tratte più interessate dal traffico pendolare, quale la Roma-Napoli/Caserta, alla ripresa delle attività lavorative dopo la pausa di fine anno, integra una pratica commerciale scorretta in violazione dell’articolo 20 del Codice del Consumo – spiega l’Antitrust – Si tratta di una pratica che è contraria alla diligenza professionale e che è idonea a falsare in misura apprezzabile il comportamento economico del consumatore.

Nello specifico, Trenitalia non ha predisposto una capacità di trasporto adeguata a soddisfare la domanda dei pendolari ai quali aveva venduto un abbonamento, e non ha fornito altre misure informative o inerenti al sistema di prenotazione per offrire un adeguato servizio di trasporto a questa categoria di viaggiatori e limitare i disagi prevedibili. Tutto questo è avvenuto nonostante disponesse di tutti i dati per valutare la domanda di spostamenti da parte dei viaggiatori.
