Un anno di sospensione dalla professione legale per aver comprato la sentenza di assoluzione del suo cliente, accusato di concorso in omicidio. E’ questa la sentenza emessa nei confronti del presidente di Anci Calabria e sindaco di Rende, Marcello Manna. Secondo quanto si apprende da Repubblica, da avvocato, stabilisce il Tribunale del Riesame di Salerno, ha corrotto il giudice Marco Petrini, ex presidente di sezione della Corte d’appello, già condannato per averla trasformata in un mercato in cui ogni sentenza era in vendita. Inclusa quella che ha portato all’assoluzione di Francesco Patitucci, condannato in primo grado con rito abbreviato a 30 anni per omicidio e poi assolto in appello. Per i giudici, una sentenza “contaminata in radice dagli eventi corruttivi” che è costata all’avvocato Manna, non solo il lavoro difensivo, anche 5mila euro contenuti in una cartelletta che il legale ha consegnato al giudice sotto l’occhio attento delle telecamere di videosorveglianza.
“In occasione della trattazione dell’appello – riferisce Petrini nell’interrogazione dei magistrati – Manna venne a parlarmi rappresentandomi che la questione era molto delicata e sollecitando la mia attenzione. Io gli risposi che sarei stato disponibile ad accogliere l’appello dietro versamento di una somma di denaro. Il Manna non ebbe particolari reazioni alla mia proposta e si dichiarò disposto ad accontentarmi”. Il presidente Anci nega ogni accusa, rivendica l’assoluzione anche in Cassazione del suo cliente. E punta il dito contro Petrini “letteralmente indotto e costretto a fare il mio nome, accusandomi di averlo corrotto”. Anche un video che avrebbe testimoniato il fatto sarebbe falso. Insomma, sarà la Cassazione a stabilire se e in che misura le dichiarazioni di Petrini, il video e le altre prove raccolte bastino a motivare l’interdizione.
