Cinque anni e 4 mesi di reclusione sono stati inflitti dal gup Maria Rosa Barbieri al senatore di Forza Italia Marco Siclari (in foto), accusato di scambio elettorale politico mafioso nel processo “Eyphemos” contro le cosche di Sant’Eufemia d’Aspromonte. La sentenza è stata più pesante della richiesta del pm Giulia Pantano, 4 anni. Secondo le indagini, coordinate anche dal procuratore Giovanni Bombardieri e dall’aggiunto Gaetano Paci, Siclari sarebbe stato appoggiato dalla cosca Alvaro alle politiche del 2018. Nel febbraio 2020, il gip aveva disposto i domiciliari per Siclari ma la Giunta per le autorizzazioni non aveva mai deciso.
Siclari, si legge nel capo di imputazione, “accettava a mezzo dell’intermediario Giuseppe Antonio Galletta, la promessa di procurare voti da parte di Domenico Laurendi, appartenente al locale di ‘Ndrangheta di Santa Eufemia della famiglia mafiosa Alvaro”.

Complessivamente Gli imputati condannati sono stati 21 e quelli assolti tre. Nell’operazione “Eyphemos” era stata arrestato anche il sindaco di Sant’Eufemia d’Aspromonte e consigliere regionale di Fratelli d’Italia Domenico Creazzo che ha scelto il rito ordinario ed è sotto processo davanti al Tribunale di Palmi.
